Insect Rings

This project explores the beauty and ecological importance of insects in the wild, challenging common perceptions of them as unpleasant or frightening. Through a series of sculptural rings designed to appear as if they are growing across the hand, the work highlights the intricate forms, colours, and presence of insects in a bold, eye-catching way. The concept of overgrowth reflects how insects exist within interconnected ecosystems, encouraging viewers to appreciate their essential role in nature while seeing them as fascinating rather than fearful.
